JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) return from their bye week Sunday, Nov. 1, to host the Indianapolis Colts (2-5) at 1 p.m. at EverBank Stadium, where Jacksonville will seek its 12th consecutive home victory over its AFC South rival. The Jaguars lead the division by 2.5 games over both Indianapolis and Houston, while Tennessee sits 3.5 games back at 1-6. The game will air on CBS47 and Paramount+, with radio coverage on 1010XL, 92.5 FM and 99.9 FM.

Jacksonville enters Week 8 under head coach Liam Coen after a 14-day break between games, while Indianapolis and coach Shane Steichen have seven days between contests. The Jaguars last played Oct. 18, losing 34-31 to Houston at Wembley Stadium in London before their Week 7 bye. The Colts lost 16-10 at Minnesota on Oct. 25, extending their losing streak to three games.

AFC South: Jaguars Lead by 2.5 Games

Jacksonville has won four of its first six games, including victories against Cleveland, New England, Cincinnati and Philadelphia. Its two losses came at Denver and against Houston in London, leaving the Jaguars with a 0-1 division record. ESPN listed Jacksonville as the AFC's No. 4 playoff seed entering Week 8, based on standings available Wednesday, Oct. 28.

A Jacksonville victory Sunday would improve its record to 5-2 and drop Indianapolis to 2-6, increasing the gap between those teams to 3.5 games. Houston's Week 8 result would also affect the overall division standings. Indianapolis enters the matchup with a 1-1 division record, compared with Jacksonville's 0-1 mark.

11 Straight Home Meetings Have Gone to Jacksonville

According to Wikipedia's Jaguars-Colts series history, Indianapolis leads the all-time regular-season series 28-22 through 50 meetings. Jacksonville holds a 15-10 advantage in games designated as Jaguars home games, while Indianapolis leads 18-7 in its home meetings. The teams have never met in the playoffs.

Jacksonville has won 11 consecutive home meetings against Indianapolis from 2015 through 2025, and the Colts have not won a game in Jacksonville since 2014. That streak includes a 2016 matchup at Wembley Stadium in London that counted as a Jaguars home game, so not all 11 victories occurred at EverBank Stadium. A Jaguars victory Sunday would extend the home-meeting streak to 12 and change the overall series record to 28-23.

The Jaguars swept both meetings in 2025, winning 36-19 in Jacksonville and 23-17 in Indianapolis on Dec. 28. Colts quarterback Daniel Jones suffered a season-ending Achilles injury during the Jacksonville game that season. Jacksonville holds an 8-4 advantage in the rivalry during the 2020s, according to Wikipedia's series record.

The rivalry began Dec. 10, 1995, when Indianapolis defeated Jacksonville 41-31. The franchises became AFC South division opponents in 2002, and their biggest victories in the series include Indianapolis' 37-3 win in 2013 and Jacksonville's 51-16 win in 2015. Sunday's matchup is their first meeting of 2026, with the second scheduled for Week 18 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on a date still to be determined.

Jaguars and Colts Have Scored Exactly 154 Points Each

Jacksonville and Indianapolis have each scored 154 points through the first seven weeks, but the Jaguars have played six games compared with seven for the Colts. Jacksonville averages 25.7 points scored and 17.3 allowed per game, while Indianapolis averages 22.0 scored and 25.7 allowed. That gives Jacksonville a plus-50 scoring differential and Indianapolis a minus-26 differential.

Indianapolis has lost its last three games, falling to Pittsburgh 34-22, Tennessee 26-20 and Minnesota 16-10.

Trevor Lawrence and Daniel Jones Lead the Passing Attacks

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence leads Jacksonville with 1,480 passing yards and 14 touchdown passes through the first seven weeks. Indianapolis quarterback Daniel Jones has 1,398 passing yards and four touchdown passes. Those totals reflect six Jaguars games and seven Colts games, rather than an equal number of appearances.

Injury Questions Remain Ahead of Sunday

As of Wednesday, Oct. 28, ESPN's preliminary list showed Jaguars receiver Jakobi Meyers and linebacker Jahlani Tavai as questionable with hamstring injuries. Defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro (ankle) and long snapper Ross Matiscik (shoulder) were also listed as questionable, while offensive tackle Anton Harrison was on injured reserve with a knee injury. Those preliminary designations could change before Sunday's kickoff.

Indianapolis also had several players listed as questionable Wednesday, including cornerback Sauce Gardner with a calf injury and tight end Tyler Warren with a groin injury. Tight end Drew Ogletree had a knee injury, receiver Anthony Gould was listed with a concussion, and defensive tackle Tim Smith had an ankle injury. Statuses on Wednesday's list can change by Friday, so these designations are preliminary.

Four Days Until Jacksonville Faces Baltimore

The Jaguars face a short turnaround immediately after Sunday's division game, traveling to Baltimore for a Thursday, Nov. 5, matchup against the Ravens. That contest starts at 8:15 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium and will air on FOX30 and Amazon Prime. The four-day gap between the Indianapolis and Baltimore games follows Jacksonville's 14-day break coming out of its bye.

Jacksonville then visits Tennessee on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 1 p.m. and the New York Giants on Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. The Jaguars return to EverBank Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 29, to host Tennessee at 4:05 p.m. Indianapolis, meanwhile, returns home to face Dallas at Lucas Oil Stadium on Sunday, Nov. 8.

## How we did this Jax Times compiled this preview using the Jacksonville Jaguars' official Week 8 game information, ESPN's team schedules, standings, statistical leaders and game listings, and the ESPN sports API, with information verified through Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026. Historical head-to-head figures came from Wikipedia's Jaguars-Colts rivalry summary, including its accounting of the 2016 London game as a Jacksonville home meeting. Jax Times calculated scoring averages, point differentials, rest periods and division standings gaps from those figures, and kept preliminary injury designations separate from final game-day availability.
