Dorothy Louise Reckling died Nov. 1, 2026, in Ponte Vedra Beach. She was 91.
Born in Peru, Illinois, she earned a master's degree in education and spent her career mostly in high school classrooms, teaching office education, computer science and accounting. She married Jack Reckling in 1957, and the couple raised their two daughters in the Chicago suburbs. They were married 67 years, until his death in 2024.
She enjoyed gardening, golf, card games, baking and cooking, jigsaw puzzles and her dogs.
She is survived by two daughters, four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
