Jacksonville International Airport lists 11 passenger airlines serving 50 nonstop destinations, with Allegiant Air leading the airport's published route list at 14 destinations, followed by Breeze Airways with 11 and Southwest Airlines with nine. Together, those three carriers account for 34 airline-destination listings, although some cities are served by more than one airline and some flights operate seasonally.

The ranking comes from JAX's official nonstop-destination directory, which identifies the airlines associated with each destination. Jax Times counted each airport served by each airline once, regardless of how many weekly departures that route may have.

The results offer a different picture of Jacksonville's airline market than a ranking based on passenger traffic. An airline serving many smaller cities with a limited flight schedule can rank above an airline carrying large numbers of travelers through major connecting airports.

Here is the complete ranking, followed by every airline's published nonstop destinations and what travelers should know before booking.

Jacksonville's 11 airlines ranked by nonstop destinations

The airport's official directory contains 50 distinct destination airport codes and 64 airline-destination combinations. Each airline receives one count for every destination where JAX lists that carrier as providing nonstop service.

Seasonal-service note: JAX identifies seasonal service in its official destination map using green highlighting. However, the accessible text version of the airport's destination table does not preserve those route-by-route color markers. Consequently, the table above counts all published destinations rather than presenting an unverified breakdown of year-round versus seasonal routes. Specific seasonal and year-round routes confirmed in separate airport announcements are identified below.

No. 1: Allegiant Air β€” 14 nonstop destinations

Allegiant leads Jacksonville's published route list with 14 destinations, three more than Breeze Airways. Its network is concentrated in smaller and midsize markets, including cities in the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

JAX lists Allegiant service to:

Akron-Canton, OhioCAK
Belleville, IllinoisBLV
Cincinnati, OhioCVG
Columbus, Ohio (Rickenbacker)LCK
Des Moines, IowaDSM
Flint, MichiganFNT
Grand Rapids, MichiganGRR
Harrisburg, PennsylvaniaMDT
Indianapolis, IndianaIND
Knoxville, TennesseeTYS
Nashville, TennesseeBNA
Norfolk, VirginiaORF
Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaPIT
Washington Dulles, VirginiaIAD

Allegiant's large destination count does not necessarily mean it has the most departures or the largest passenger volume. Route counts measure how many places an airline serves, not how frequently it flies to them.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority has announced Allegiant nonstop service to Akron-Canton, Des Moines and Grand Rapids.

Those additions helped expand Allegiant's Jacksonville network beyond cities it already served, including Knoxville, Indianapolis and Harrisburg. Travelers considering Allegiant should check operating days, as the number of destinations alone does not establish daily flight availability.

No. 2: Breeze Airways β€” 11 nonstop destinations

Breeze ranks second with 11 destinations, offering an unusually wide geographic range for an airline that entered the Jacksonville market in 2022.

Its published nonstop network includes:

DestinationAirport code
Columbus, OhioCMH
Hartford, ConnecticutBDL
Las Vegas, NevadaLAS
Los Angeles, CaliforniaLAX
New Haven, ConnecticutHVN
New Orleans, LouisianaMSY
Norfolk, VirginiaORF
Pittsburgh, PennsylvaniaPIT
Providence, Rhode IslandPVD
Raleigh-Durham, North CarolinaRDU
San Diego, CaliforniaSAN

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority originally announced Breeze service to seven cities when the airline entered the market. Those destinations included Columbus, Hartford, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Providence and Norfolk.

Breeze later added nonstop flights to Los Angeles and Pittsburgh.

Breeze is especially notable for listing nonstop flights to both Los Angeles and San Diego. For Northeast Florida travelers seeking a flight to Southern California without a connection, those are two destinations worth checking.

No. 3: Southwest Airlines β€” 9 nonstop destinations

Southwest ranks third in the airport's published destination directory, with nine nonstop destinations.

Those routes are:

DestinationAirport code
Atlanta, GeorgiaATL
Baltimore, MarylandBWI
Chicago Midway, IllinoisMDW
Dallas Love Field, TexasDAL
Denver, ColoradoDEN
Houston Hobby, TexasHOU
Kansas City, MissouriMCI
Nashville, TennesseeBNA
St. Louis, MissouriSTL

The list includes several major cities that also function as connecting points, allowing travelers to reach destinations not served nonstop from Jacksonville.

Southwest's airport choices also matter. It uses Chicago Midway rather than O'Hare, Dallas Love Field rather than Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston Hobby rather than George Bush Intercontinental.

There is one important inconsistency in the airport's published material. In February 2025, JAX announced Southwest nonstop service to Austin beginning Oct. 2, 2025, but the airport's current destination table associates Austin with Delta only.

Because this ranking strictly counts the official destination table, Southwest receives nine destinations, not 10. The discrepancy does not establish that Austin service has ended; it means the published sources do not agree, and travelers should confirm its availability directly with Southwest.

No. 4 (tie): American Airlines β€” 7 nonstop destinations

American Airlines ties Delta with seven destinations in the published directory.

DestinationAirport code
Charlotte, North CarolinaCLT
Chicago O'Hare, IllinoisORD
Dallas-Fort Worth, TexasDFW
Miami, FloridaMIA
Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaPHL
Phoenix, ArizonaPHX

American's routes connect Jacksonville to several major airports, including Charlotte, Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare and Miami. The destinations provide opportunities for onward travel through American's broader network.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority announced its nonstop Phoenix route in June 2023, with flights beginning that November. At the time, JAX described American as its largest carrier according to flight schedule data, demonstrating why the carrier with the most destinations should not automatically be described as the busiest airline.

American's published Jacksonville network is smaller by destination count than Allegiant's but includes a different mix of large metropolitan airports.

No. 4 (tie): Delta Air Lines β€” 7 nonstop destinations

Delta also appears on seven nonstop routes in JAX's destination directory.

DestinationAirport code
Atlanta, GeorgiaATL
Austin, TexasAUS
Boston, MassachusettsBOS
Detroit, MichiganDTW
Minneapolis-St. Paul, MinnesotaMSP
New York KennedyJFK
New York LaGuardiaLGA

Delta's network includes two separate New York airports, which count individually because JAX identifies each as a distinct nonstop destination.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority has announced Delta nonstop service to Austin, which appears under Delta in the current table.

For travelers comparing New York flights, JFK and LaGuardia are not interchangeable airports. Even when an airline serves both, the choice can affect ground transportation and the convenience of reaching a final destination.

No. 6 (tie): Frontier Airlines β€” 5 nonstop destinations

Frontier appears on five nonstop routes in the published JAX destination directory.

DestinationAirport code
Cleveland, OhioCLE
Dallas-Fort Worth, TexasDFW
Denver, ColoradoDEN
Philadelphia, PennsylvaniaPHL
San Juan, Puerto RicoSJU

Frontier's published network includes San Juan, the only Puerto Rico destination in JAX's official table. The airline also shares the Dallas-Fort Worth route with American, Denver with Southwest and United, and Philadelphia with American.

Frontier's history at Jacksonville shows why an airport's route count should be dated. The Jacksonville Aviation Authority announced that Frontier would expand to 12 nonstop destinations in 2018, substantially more than the five appearing in the current airport directory.

Those older announcements are useful for understanding how airline networks change, but they should not be used to add destinations to the 2026 count. Only the airport's current published table determines this ranking.

No. 6 (tie): United Airlines β€” 5 nonstop destinations

United ties Frontier with five destinations.

DestinationAirport code
Chicago O'Hare, IllinoisORD
Denver, ColoradoDEN
Houston Intercontinental, TexasIAH
Newark, New JerseyEWR
Washington Dulles, VirginiaIAD

United's listed destinations are major metropolitan airports that also provide connections across its wider route network. The airport's directory lists United as the only nonstop carrier from Jacksonville to Newark and Houston Intercontinental.

United shares Chicago O'Hare with American, Denver with Southwest and Frontier, and Washington Dulles with Allegiant. The overlaps allow travelers to compare multiple airlines without changing their destination airport.

For passengers headed toward New York City, Newark provides another airport option in addition to JFK and LaGuardia. The correct choice depends on the final destination, ground transportation and available flights.

No. 8: JetBlue Airways β€” 3 nonstop destinations

JetBlue appears on three Jacksonville nonstop routes: Boston (BOS), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and New York Kennedy (JFK).

Its presence gives travelers another airline choice on the Boston and JFK routes, where Delta also appears in the airport's directory. Fort Lauderdale is listed as a JetBlue-only nonstop destination.

Although JetBlue ranks eighth by route count, this measure does not establish the number of passengers it carries, how frequently its flights operate or how competitive its fares are. It simply reflects the destinations shown in the airport's published nonstop list.

No. 9 (tie): Air Canada, Avelo and Sun Country β€” 1 destination each

Three airlines share the final ranking, each appearing at one destination in the official directory.

AirlineNonstop destinationAirport code
Air CanadaToronto, OntarioYYZ
Avelo AirlinesNew Haven, ConnecticutHVN
Sun Country AirlinesMinneapolis-St. Paul, MinnesotaMSP

Air Canada provides the only international destination outside the United States and its territories shown in the official list: Toronto.

Avelo shares New Haven with Breeze, while Sun Country shares Minneapolis-St. Paul with Delta. Those are two more examples of routes where travelers can compare airline options.

Avelo has also announced service to Wilmington, Delaware, but Wilmington does not appear in the airport's current nonstop-destination table, so it is not counted here.

Which Jacksonville destinations have the most airline competition?

Denver stands out as the only destination airport in the published table served by three airlines: Frontier, Southwest and United.

Thirteen additional destinations are listed with two airlines, including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, New Haven and Pittsburgh. The remaining 36 destination airports each appear with one airline.

These counts explain why the airport's 50 destinations produce 64 individual airline-route listings. A destination shared by two airlines contributes two entries to the airline ranking but remains one destination in the airport-wide total.

Having multiple airlines on a route can give travelers more schedules to compare. It does not guarantee that all those carriers fly on the same dates, offer comparable prices or operate year-round.

Which Jacksonville flights are seasonal?

JAX identifies seasonal routes on its destination map using green highlighting, but those colored indicators are not preserved in the accessible text table used for this ranking. That prevents a reliable 2026 seasonal-versus-year-round count for every airline from the extracted destination list alone.

Some routes run only part of the year. Before booking, check the airline's own schedule for your travel dates.

The key distinction is between being listed as a nonstop destination and being available on a particular travel date. A nonstop route can appear in an airport's directory even if it is not scheduled every day or every month.

Travelers should check the airline's booking calendar for their intended departure and return dates. The airport's destination list is a useful starting point, but an available flight on a specific date is what ultimately matters.

Does the airline with the most destinations offer the most flights?

Not necessarily. An airline can operate a large number of weekly departures to a handful of major airports while another offers fewer weekly flights spread across many destinations.

The Jacksonville Aviation Authority's 2023 Phoenix announcement, for example, identified American as the airport's largest airline using contemporary flight-schedule data. That was a different measurement from the number of destinations used here.

For passengers, route count is most useful for identifying where they might travel nonstop. Flight frequency, fares, baggage policies and available travel dates require a separate comparison.

How to check nonstop flights before booking

The airport's official destinations page is available at flyjacksonville.com. It lists airports and the airlines associated with each city.

Travelers should start by finding their destination and identifying the carriers listed. They can then check each airline's schedule directly, particularly when planning a trip several months ahead or considering a route that may be seasonal.

Airport codes are also important when comparing flights. Jacksonville's list includes two Chicago airports, two Dallas-area airports, two Houston-area airports, three airports serving the New York metropolitan area and two Washington-area airports.

Searching by the exact airport code can avoid confusion between airports serving the same metropolitan region. It also makes the comparison more consistent with the airport's official route table.

How we did this

Jax Times reviewed Jacksonville International Airport's official nonstop-destination list and airline directory on Oct. 22, 2026. We counted each unique destination airport code once for every airline named on that route, producing 50 destinations and 64 airline-destination combinations across 11 carriers.

Seasonal-service classifications were limited to routes explicitly identified in available official airport announcements. Historical announcements were not used to add destinations missing from the current table.

This ranking measures the breadth of each airline's published nonstop network, not passenger totals, departure frequency, fares or the number of flights available on any particular day.
