JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Icemen earned their first victory of the 2026-27 season with a 3-2 overtime win against the Orlando Solar Bears on Friday, Oct. 30, after trailing by two goals in the second period. Jaden Condotta scored the tying goal and the overtime winner, while goaltender Cameron Rowe made 32 saves, according to the Icemen's official game recap. Jacksonville also has a series of November home games and promotional events scheduled at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, including a Nov. 7 celebration marking the team's 10th season.

How Jacksonville rallied from a 2-0 deficit in Orlando

The Icemen entered Friday's game at Kia Center in Orlando seeking their first victory of the season. Orlando built a 2-0 lead during the second period before Jacksonville responded with three consecutive goals, according to the Icemen's Oct. 30 game report. The comeback ended with Jacksonville winning 3-2 in overtime and recording its first overtime victory of the season.

Forward Jesse Tucker started Jacksonville's comeback with a goal in the second period. Condotta followed with a power-play goal during the third period, tying the game at 2-2 and forcing overtime. Condotta then scored the winning goal after receiving a pass from Tucker, according to the team's official recap.

Rowe finished with 32 saves for Jacksonville, contributing to the victory as the Icemen recovered from their early deficit. The team's published game report listed Jacksonville at 1-2-2 following the win, while Orlando stood at 0-3-1. The result gave Jacksonville its first victory after previously recording losses in regulation and overtime.

The scoring sequence also connected two of Jacksonville's forwards in the deciding play. Tucker, who had scored earlier in the game, provided the pass that produced Condotta's overtime goal. The Icemen's official recap credited Condotta with both the third-period equalizer and the game-winning goal.

Jesse Tucker contributes after joining Jacksonville

Tucker's performance against Orlando came immediately after the Icemen announced his acquisition from the Indy Fuel. Jacksonville announced the transaction Thursday, Oct. 29, saying the team acquired the forward in exchange for future considerations. He scored during the second period of the following day's game and assisted on Condotta's overtime winner, according to the team's two official announcements.

The forward is a native of Longlac, Ontario, and is listed at 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 187 pounds. The Icemen identified the 2026-27 campaign as his third season in the ECHL. His arrival added a player with previous professional experience and a collegiate hockey background to Jacksonville's roster.

During the 2025-26 season, Tucker recorded 38 points in 72 games with Indy, according to Jacksonville's Oct. 29 trade announcement. His production included 12 goals and 26 assists. Those totals provide the statistical background for the forward's move to Jacksonville and his immediate contribution against Orlando.

Before his professional career, Tucker played 135 NCAA Division I games across three college programs. He spent two years at Michigan State and also played at Clarkson and Northern Michigan, according to the Icemen. He totaled 56 collegiate points during those appearances.

The team's trade announcement and Orlando game recap provide the timeline of Tucker's arrival and first reported contributions with Jacksonville. The acquisition was announced one day before the Icemen's overtime victory. His goal and assist were part of the three-goal comeback documented in the Oct. 30 game report.

The road trip before Jacksonville's first win

Jacksonville's victory in Orlando followed a road trip that included losses to Greenville and Savannah. According to the team's official publication, The Glacier Post, the Icemen lost 3-2 in overtime at Greenville during the Oct. 23-25 trip. Jacksonville also fell 2-0 against Savannah.

The Greenville game produced an overtime loss, while the Savannah matchup ended without a Jacksonville goal. The results formed part of the team's early-season record before the Oct. 30 victory in Orlando. Jacksonville's subsequent win included the three consecutive goals that overturned the Solar Bears' second-period lead.

The team's Oct. 30 game recap identified the victory as Jacksonville's first of the season and first in overtime. With the result, the Icemen moved to a published record of 1-2-2. Orlando's record following the game was 0-3-1, according to Jacksonville's official report.

The sequence of results illustrates the team's reported opening stretch. Jacksonville had an overtime defeat at Greenville, a shutout loss at Savannah and then an overtime victory in Orlando. Each result was documented in the Icemen's official game coverage.

Rookie Heinke scores and Berkopec receives call-up

Jacksonville's early-season reports have also documented contributions and roster movement involving younger players. Rookie Timothy Heinke, a native of Kensington, Connecticut, scored his first professional goal, according to The Glacier Post. The milestone was among the developments reported in the team's coverage of its Oct. 23-25 road trip.

The team also reported that defenseman Joey Berkopec received a call-up from the Southern Professional Hockey League, or SPHL. Jacksonville identified the move as its first SPHL call-up of the season. The development was included alongside the team's early road results in The Glacier Post.

Heinke's first professional goal and Berkopec's call-up represent two separate developments from the same stretch of team reporting. One involved an individual scoring milestone, while the other concerned a player moving up from the SPHL. Both appeared in the Icemen's official coverage before the Oct. 30 overtime win.

Jacksonville's all-time records against Atlanta and Orlando

The Icemen's official reporting also provides historical results against two of the team's opponents. According to The Glacier Post, Jacksonville holds an all-time record of 36-34-9 against Atlanta. The team's all-time record against Orlando is 51-48-14.

OpponentJacksonville all-time record
Atlanta36-34-9
Orlando51-48-14

Those records provide historical context for Jacksonville's games against the two opponents. The Orlando matchup was the setting for the Icemen's first victory of the 2026-27 season. The historical figures come from the team's published series records rather than from a current league standings table.

The Oct. 30 victory also adds a separate result to Jacksonville's recent history against Orlando. The Icemen overcame a two-goal deficit and won on Condotta's overtime goal. The team's published all-time series figures offer a broader comparison with the opponent beyond that single game.

November home games at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena

The Icemen's official schedule lists multiple November home dates at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena. Jacksonville scheduled a School Day Game against Savannah for Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 a.m. The team also lists a Friday, Nov. 6, matchup against the Florida Everblades at 7 p.m.

Those games appear in the team's official Oct. 30 recap as upcoming home contests. The November schedule also includes a 10 Year Celebration on Saturday, Nov. 7, according to the team's promotional calendar. The celebration is presented by Community First Credit Union and recognizes Jacksonville's 10th season.

The Icemen's promotional announcement states that additional details about the Nov. 7 celebration are forthcoming. The published promotional schedule identifies the date, anniversary theme and presenting sponsor. It does not establish additional event arrangements in the verified information.

The November calendar places the anniversary celebration alongside other themed events at the arena. The Icemen announced those promotions as part of their 2026-27 schedule. The team also states that promotional dates and themes are subject to change.
