YULEE, Fla. - Nassau County has two remaining regular Board of County Commissioners meetings scheduled for November, on Nov. 9 and Nov. 18, after the county announced the cancellation of its Nov. 23 meeting, according to the county's official calendar and notices issued Oct. 27. The county also canceled its Dec. 28 regular commission meeting and scheduled a special reorganizational meeting for Dec. 14. Six other county boards and committees have meetings on the November calendar, including bodies responsible for development review, planning and zoning, housing and tourism matters.

The Nov. 9 commission meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m., following a workshop from 3 to 5 p.m. concerning the Fact-Finding Committee's report on data center development, according to Nassau County. The Nov. 18 regular commission meeting is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Both meetings are listed at the James S. Page Governmental Complex, 96135 Nassau Place in Yulee.

The county's calendar also includes meetings of the Development Review Committee, Planning and Zoning Board, Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and Amelia Island Tourist Development Council. Other listed proceedings include a Code Enforcement Special Magistrate hearing and a meeting of the Nassau County-Amelia Island Tree Commission. The county maintains separate online resources for meeting agendas, minutes and live meeting coverage.

County Commission meetings scheduled Nov. 9 and 18

Nassau County's next regular Board of County Commissioners meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 9, at 5 p.m. According to the county's official November calendar, the meeting will take place at the James S. Page Governmental Complex in Yulee. The complex is located at 96135 Nassau Place, Yulee, FL 32097.

The Nov. 9 meeting will follow a separate workshop scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. The county identifies the workshop topic as the Fact-Finding Committee's report concerning data center development. The workshop and regular meeting are listed for the same government complex.

The second remaining regular commission meeting in November is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18. Nassau County lists the session from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the James S. Page Governmental Complex. That meeting is separate from the Nov. 9 workshop and evening commission session.

According to the county calendar, the Nov. 9 and Nov. 18 meetings are the two regular commission sessions remaining in November following the Nov. 23 cancellation. Meeting agendas are available through the county's separate agendas and meetings website. The verified calendar information establishes the scheduled dates, times and locations without specifying the full agenda for either meeting.

Nov. 23 and Dec. 28 commission meetings canceled

Nassau County announced Oct. 27 that the regular Board of County Commissioners meeting scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23, had been canceled. The canceled meeting had been scheduled for 5 p.m. The official cancellation notice was signed by Commission Chair Alyson R. McCullough.

The county also announced the cancellation of the regular commission meeting scheduled for Monday, Dec. 28. That meeting likewise had been listed for 5 p.m., according to the county's official notice. The cancellation was included among the meeting changes published Oct. 27.

Neither cancellation notice identifies a reason for the change in the verified information. The county's published notices establish that the two regular meetings will not take place on their originally scheduled dates. The remaining November commission meetings are Nov. 9 and Nov. 18.

Affordable housing, trees and tourism meetings

The Nassau County-Amelia Island Tree Commission was scheduled to meet Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., according to the county calendar. The meeting location was the James S. Page Governmental Complex. It is the first meeting listed among the six other county bodies in the November schedule.

Additional meeting information is maintained through the county's official agendas and meetings resources.

Other Nassau County dates in November

The county's November calendar includes several community activities in addition to government meetings. The Right Whale Festival is scheduled for Nov. 7-8 at 32 N. Fletcher Ave. in Fernandina Beach, with free admission, according to Nassau County. The county's listing says the event highlights efforts to protect North Atlantic right whales. It also lists ocean-themed activities and exhibits.

The Friends of the Fernandina Beach Library also scheduled its Fall Book Sale for Nov. 4-7, according to the Fernandina Beach News-Leader. The event is held at the Peck Center Gym, 510 S. 10th St. The newspaper identified the semiannual sale as a fundraiser supporting library programs.

Another calendar entry lists Puppy Yoga for Sunday, Nov. 22, beginning at 10 a.m. The county's calendar identifies a location at 86078 License Road in Yulee. The published listing contains differing location descriptions, so the calendar's Yulee entry is the location identified here.

Where to find Nassau County agendas and meeting coverage

Nassau County maintains an official online calendar that lists upcoming government meetings and community events. The November calendar identifies meeting dates, times and locations for the Board of County Commissioners and other county bodies. It also provides the basis for the November meeting schedule described in this guide.

The county directs residents to its Agendas and Meetings website for meeting agendas. This resource is separate from the main county calendar. The county identifies it as the location for agenda information associated with its public meetings.

For meeting broadcasts and records, Nassau County also lists the Clerk's meeting website. The county identifies this resource for live meeting coverage and minutes. Those materials are separate from the cancellation notices issued for the Nov. 23 and Dec. 28 commission meetings.

The county's November 2026 calendar lists the remaining regular commission sessions for Nov. 9 and Nov. 18. Its official notices document the cancellation of the Nov. 23 and Dec. 28 sessions and the special Dec. 14 reorganizational meeting. Together, those records establish the published meeting schedule for the remainder of November and the identified December changes.
